Gut Spacer:

Being big boned and owning a pantera can be a tricky proposition. Getting in and out of the drivers seat can be described as a combination between a sideways crawl and a tumble. Logic tells me that the more space I can put in front of me the better...

So, I added a removable steering wheel assembly using my Lacarra steering wheel that was installed on 3988. The stock hub is removed and a new hub, wheel center and nut is provided with the conversion. Here are some pictures of the provided components in the conversion kit. All parts were specific to the Lacarra steering wheel.

The fit and finish are quite good. The splines mated well with the hub steering wheel shaft.

Here is a picture of the finished assembly. Just push the center "horn" button to remove the wheel..........and you are driving down the freeway with no brains. The center hub has 3 dowel pins for alignment of the wheel during replacement.
